Find Low Back Pain Relief With Our Intracept Procedure
See how this proven procedure can reduce or eliminate your pain for years to come.
Why Intracept®?
The vertebral column has been found to be a common cause for chronic low back pain. And this pain is transmitted via a nerve inside the vertebrae — the basivertebral nerve (BVN).
The Intracept Procedure, created by Relievant, is a minimally invasive treatment that stops pain signals from the BVN. By cutting off pain at the source, we can bring pain levels down significantly without using methods that prevent you from pursuing spine treatments down the road, if needed.
What will happen during your procedure
Our four-step, outpatient procedure takes approximately one-hour and allows for recovery in the comfort of your home.
Step 1:
Access the Pedicle
Under fluoroscopic guidance, the Intracept® Introducer Cannula Assembly is advanced through the pedicle.
Step 2:
Create the Channel
The Intracept® Curved Cannula Assembly is used to create a channel to the trunk of the BVN.
Step 3:
Place the RP Probe
The Intracept® RF Probe is inserted into the curved path and placed at the trunk of the BVN.
Step 4:
Ablate the BVN
The Intracept® RF Generator is used to deliver radiofrequency energy that ablates the BVN.
